If you press Alt-F the file menu doesn't come up, instead an 'F' is typed
into the text area, same for the other menus.
It appears the hotkeys have not been assigned.

Suggest sticking with the convention of using the first letters of each
menu as the hotkey -
Alt+F = file,
Alt+E = edit
Alt+S = sketch
Alt+T = tools
Alt+H = help
