i have a PNG image that shows a black to transparent gradient, i want to use that as an outline-
brusch to simulate a blured figure with openGL and textures.
the transparency of the file shows up wrong in processing 135 (os-x 10.4, powerbook, java 1.4):
the gradient goes from black to white to transparent. see example attached ..

set the background to red, you'll see the transparency showing through
correctly.

you are totally right .. problem was that the gradient-tool in photoshop was not black fading
from 100% to 0% but rather black 100% to white 0%. hence the white pixels. sorry!
