NVIDIA drivers on a Thinkpad T61

I created an application that runs fine out of Processing, but when it is
exported to a full-screen Linux application, it often displays only a grey
screen with a small black square in the upper-left-hand corner. This
occurs with any sketch exported as full screen for linux. If the size of
the sketch is smaller than the screen resolution, the black square is where
the upper-left corner of the application would be displayed. I am running
. The error occurs with both the JAVA2D and P2D rendering engines, but the
exported application does occasionally display correctly with either engine.

Any thoughts?
